We design vacation rentals the way we design our own, because four of them are ours: in Ravenna, Italy; Ventura and Clear Lake, California; and Memphis, Tennessee. Every rental starts with a story. Then we plan for sleeping space and easy flow, choose materials that wear beautifully, furnish every drawer and style every corner for the camera. The result is a home guests fall for online, love in person and can't wait to come back to.
From our studio in Sausalito, we design rentals across Sonoma and Napa wine country and California's favourite getaways, the US and Europe.
How it works
1. Strategy. We study your market, your guests and your property's strengths, and define the story your rental will tell.
2. Design. Layouts that maximise sleeping and gathering space, durable materials and a palette made for photographs.
3. Furnish. We source and order everything, from beds and linens to art, kitchenware and outdoor furniture.
4. Install and style. We install, style and stock the home so it is ready for its first guest.
5. Launch. Photo-ready styling, listing guidance and the little touches guests remember.

How long does a full rental design take?
Every property is different. A refresh can come together in a matter of weeks (our own Clear Lake home took just two), while a full design usually takes a few months, depending on the size of the home and furniture lead times.
